My name is Teri Beebe and I am the local Community Campaign Coordinator for COTA and the COTA for Team Chris. I would like to tell you a little about Chris Stanton ”Team Chris” the local resident in need of a lifesaving transplant.
Chris is my nephew, he is 40 years old and has Cystic Fibrosis. He was diagnosed as an infant and has lived with this disease his entire life. He has lost all but approximately 30% of his lung function, is on oxygen fulltime. For these reasons his specialists have recommended a double lung transplant to save his life. Chris is a great person, loves to hunt, fish and hike but most of all he adores his 9 year old son, Jacob. Chris worked at Turning Winds, a school for troubled children, for quite sometime which he loved but can no longer do. With the transplant there will be costs incurred above and beyond what will be covered by any insurance.
The Stanton family will be displaced from their Montana residence and have to live in Seattle for required recovery period, this will include rent for a place to live, day to day living expenses , travel to and from Montana as well as Medical travel in and around Seattle. This may also include having to upgrade their vehicle as it is not always reliable. Chris’ wife Amanda is unable to work as she has to be his primary caregiver.
We have partnered with COTA and are asking the community to help meet these financial needs. I am planning numerous fundraising events and am hoping we can count on your support.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at 406-293-1372, 406-293-3582 or firstname.lastname@example.org or you may contact COTA directly. I
am praying that the community will be touched by this and come together as it has in the past and help give Chris the gift of life and God willing the chance to watch his son grow up. Let’s help Chris “Just Breathe”
